Music- second nine weeks
Week One- Nov. 3-7
Both the fourth and fifth grade students have now begun their unit on music reading basics. After learning about the treble clef staff and where the notes sit on the staff, the student completed a worksheet that allowed them to practice their skills by decoding secret words written on the staff. As a class, the student then began to learn their mystery song, "Jingle Bells" by first reading the notes and rhythms and then playing the song on the xylophone.
Students can even practice reading notes on the staff by clicking on the "Music Theory Games" button on the Resources page on the left!
